Few months back, Clicks for Cakes contacted me to write a blogpost for them, to help them reach out to more people. Keen Meng and I both came up with this idea to make a video with one of their bakers, as people will get to see how we bake with them and also learn from the bakers as well. So finally, after quite a long while of planning and getting everyone together. Clicks for Cakes and I could finally have our shoot at one of the baker's place. His name is Terrence and he is from 'The People Who Ate'. He is such a funny guy and he bakes really realllyyyy goooodd brownies. Click the video to learn more!
Ingredients you have to prepare :
1 1/4 cups (250 grams) granulated sugar
5 tablespoons (70 grams) unsalted butter
3/4 cup (75 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup (60 grams) all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (130 grams) semisweet chocolate chips
5 tablespoons (70 grams) unsalted butter
3/4 cup (75 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup (60 grams) all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (130 grams) semisweet chocolate chips
Directions :
1. Preheat the oven to 160 C. Line a 8 by 8-inch pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray (or brush with melted butter).
2. In a bowl, combine the butter and sugar and mix. Stir in the oil and cocoa powder.
3. Whisk in the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla. With a rubber spatula, stir in the flour, baking soda and salt until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. You can also add in nuts of your choice at this point.
4. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the brownies are set and a skewer inserted into the center has moist crumbs attached. Do not overcook. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.
5. Brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
